Our approach
We source responsibly, make full use of every catch, and keep waste, energy use and emissions to a minimum across our operations — from the coast to the container.
For a company built on the sea, this is not a separate undertaking. It is the condition on which the business continues from one generation to the next.
Certified sustainable
West Norway AS is certified to the MSC standard, as is its parent company, Jangaard Export AS, and the other producers in the group.

Certification also means traceability: MSC-labelled fish can be followed from a certified, well-managed fishery all the way to the customer.
Human rights
As a Norwegian company, West Norway AS is covered by the Norwegian Transparency Act (åpenhetsloven). We carry out due diligence on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions across our own operations and our supply chain.
