It all began with our nr. 1 product “Dried-salted Cod from Norway” , which is still our main product - produced and exported from Norway. Our annual sales lies around 22.000 tonn which puts us among the top 3 global exporters. Our main markets are Brazil, Italy, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Portugal. At West-Norway we specialize in Cod (Gadus Morhua and Macrocephalus), Saithe, Ling and Zarbo (Brosme) and are probably the only supplier who can offer mixed containers of all kinds of our product range throughout the year.
Our quarters
Our headquarter is on the coast of Norway, in the picturesque city Aalesund. In addition we have a branch office and factory in Qingdao - China. We have been operating in China since 2004 with the scope of producing skinless-boneless dried salted fish products from Norwegian and US raw-material.
West-Norway is today a part of Jangaard group and the group is producing and exporting ca 40.000 tons of dried salted fish products a year making the group the far largest producer in the world. West-Norway are represented in major cities in Brazil, the Dominican Republic and Portugal. Other markets are serviced directly by the headquarters or through our office in China.
